so we will just call this "the randomness of life", because frankly, i lack any better naming authority. so i was sitting at my desk at work, contemplating the cosmos, as i do from time to time, and i thought about something that was bothering me. the show "firefly" was really one of the most spectacular television shows i have ever seen. i didnt discover it until about 2 years ago when the movie "serenity" came out, but man it really is superb!! the production quality and storytelling are of the same caliber of that in the movie. you could almost inject the two into one roll of film and call it an epic like lawrence of arabia or something like that. i know that i am not the only one in the clan that feels this way, nor am i alone on the internet. i found a site called savefirefly.org where they are planning a movement to get the attention of the studio executives at fox and try to coerse them back to making the show. they use the example of the fans of a show called "jehrico". these fans sent in an f-ton of peanuts to get their point across and it was successful. the firefly fans are doing the same thing with what they are calling the "blue glove" movement. if you are a fan of the show then you know what i am talking about. it was a really interesting idea and i know that i will be a part of it. after all that i got to thinking about the halo movie that is not moving at all, and i know that the halo franchise has more to offer than other games on other platforms. there is no doubt that halo is a viable moneymaker, but why would a studio stall out the production of something that they know will return on its investment? well i guess what i am saying is, why dont we at c1nder, along with all of our allies, do something about it. lets start with some kind of alliance, like a "halo movie confederation" or something like that. get all the groups or at least all the leaders of all the groups together to decide what it is that we can do to make this movie happen for us. there are alot of interesting things that we can do to get the studios attention, but what will work? what do you think? |
